In 2016, Alex met Chance Kornuth and became one of the first students of Chip Leader Coaching. Foxen’s competitive drive and hard work with CLC paid off in short order! Just one year later, Foxen would go on to win the SHRPO $2,650 buy-in event for $204,600. While this was the biggest score of his career to date, he would soon top it that year by finishing second at the Bellagio’s WPT Five Diamond Classic Main event for $1,134,202.
Alex Foxen grew up honing his competitive spirit in a variety of sports. Whether it be hockey, baseball, lacrosse, or football, Alex always strived to be the best. His athletic prowess led to him enrolling at Boston College where he played TE for the Eagles. After college, Foxen ended his athletic endeavors but continued his drive for competition and excellence through poker.
Since joining CLC, Foxen has gone on to win over 30 Million dollars and his first WSOP bracelet at the Super High Roller, 250k buy-in event in 2022. This win marked the 18th 1st place finish of Foxen’s career and his largest prize to date, $4,563,700. Foxen currently ranks 21st on the All time money list and is a two time GPI Player of the year. He loves fierce competition and can be found battling with the best players in the world at the Poker-Go studious and various High Roller Events.
